Cirque du Strange
'Cirque du Strange' is a freak show parading the weird, the wacky, the surreal and the strange. Filmed to the soundtrack "Scaretale" by Nightwish.
This is our film focusing on surrealism and German expressionism. We filmed this with both stop-motion and live-action clips. The stop-motion parts was taken at 10 frames a second to make it look purposely old fashioned and jerky. The live-action sequences had an old film effect put against them and was darkened electronically to give it eerier visual stylistics. This coupled with the music produced a truly surreal experience.
